This is a notoriously disreputable security company. After a security guard was crushed to death by a rolling shutter door, the company was willing to pay only NT$50,000 in compensation and increased it to NT$300,000 only after being ordered to do so by a judge. I briefly worked for the company as a driveway security guard at one of its sites in southern Taiwan. Surprisingly, instead of making the agreed-upon salary payments by bank transfer, the company paid by postdated checks. More importantly, after checking, I found that all positions at the company were classified by the company as “internships” on the first day and were unpaid. The key point is that this was not disclosed when both parties signed the documents and submitted identification documents; many people only discovered it when receiving their first month’s pay. Even after the matter had been taken to the Labor Bureau for labor-management mediation, the company still insisted on not paying for the first day. It is such a reprehensible company that even the committee members could only shake their heads.
