Cons

I worked here for over a year about two years ago. There is a term called “拉班” (la ban), which basically means starting work at 4 p.m. and working until midnight. At midnight, you still have to accommodate the late-night peak demand and work overtime until 4 a.m. If you don't do “拉班,” your supervisor will give you dirty looks and make snide remarks. That in itself would be fine, but the overtime pay is calculated as the monthly base salary divided by 176 hours per month: 18,000/176. For the first two hours of overtime, the hourly rate is 103*1.33; for the next two hours, it is 103*1.67. Note! This is the hourly rate for the overnight shift and for working overtime as required. Also, we sometimes had to help certain sensitive customers hide in the employee restroom at the back when the police came to conduct inspections. Fire safety rules were also handled by using the radio to notify everyone to quickly return to their assigned positions when inspectors arrived. Sometimes, they would not issue receipts at night. There is a supervisor upstairs who comes to work in casual clothes and does not do any work, playing mobile games in the office. The ridiculous thing is that the boss drives a multimillion-dollar car but exploits the employees so badly. The supervisor upstairs contributes nothing to the work, comes to work in casual clothes, does not serve customers, and spends all day taking more than half of everyone's tips.
