Pros

1. Everyone is good except the boss and the CEO

Cons

1. They lure you in with a simple-sounding position, making you think the job will be straightforward.

2. They say you’ll be handling tasks assigned by the supervisor, but basically you’re just a messenger. Even after you deliver the message, the supervisor or boss can change it whenever they want, so you can’t actually complete anything, because the same matter may be changed four or five times. (For example, the boss tells an employee to resign voluntarily; after assigning you to convey this, you inform the employee, who becomes furious, and then the boss says, “I never told you to ask him to leave”—with at least three cycles of this happening.)

3. Whenever someone resigns, they will deduct money from them using baseless excuses. They can use all kinds of reasons to dock your pay.

4. If you say you want to change jobs, the boss will call you in for a meeting first and then threaten to make trouble for you.

5. Your scheduled workplace is in Neihu, but in practice you have to travel back and forth between Shiding and Neihu because the parking lot is in Shiding, and your job requires you to go between both locations.

6. There is no reimbursement for fuel or parking fees for any shuttle trips, transportation, or travel routes you can think of.

7. Basically, you have to answer LINE messages all weekend until you go crazy. You may spend the entire weekend outside the office while still handling work matters.

8. The supervisor clearly doesn’t know how to do something, but still tells you to do it. Once you finish it, they say this part is wrong and that part is wrong. When you ask them to give you some direction, they tell you to figure it out yourself.

9. You never get to make any decisions, but you are expected to clean up every mess.

10. Basically, once you join, you either slack off, wait around for death, and collect a little over NT$20,000 while pretending to be irresponsible, or, if you start taking responsibility, the work will never end.

11. There is no overtime pay. Ever.

12. There is no annual leave; whether they deduct money from you depends on the boss’s mood.

13. There is no start-of-year red-envelope bonus.

14. You need to prepare a large amount of cash because you may have to pay company expenses upfront at any time.
