A job with promising future prospects
The boss seems to be someone with clear thoughts
1. Spent too much time interviewing me—the boss talked for over an hour.
2. They do not give a straightforward rejection and instead speak evasively, asking you to call again to inquire. However, they make it seem very promising. When you call, HR is also evasive, once again giving you a bit of hope. In the end, they nitpick a very minor point to give another evasive response, such as the start date. They also never follow up with the result by the time they promised.
3. Overall, this is not a bad company, but the other party also invests their time and effort in the interview. If they genuinely feel that you are not suitable, they should say so directly instead of taking up too much of the interviewee’s time and stringing them along. This does not make the company seem more tactful; instead, it leaves the interviewee feeling baffled.
