Pros

None

Cons

All positions within the company are temporary contract positions through staffing agencies, but this is not stated in the job postings. They lure people to the company for interviews and only disclose at the end that the position is a temporary contract role through a staffing agency. This is a company with no integrity.

Pros

Suitable for training yourself to become a very slick person

Cons

A patriarchal Japanese company where women basically have no dignity and are objectified.

Before the interview, supervisors say one thing, but after you join, it is an entirely different story. Their acting skills are truly exceptional. Before joining, you are led to believe that it is a stable workplace with established systems; in reality, the price is being humiliated mercilessly. It is common to work an extra four or five hours of overtime, of course without overtime pay—the policies are just for show.

The company culture is vulgar and uncultured. It is a Japanese company focused on sales. Swearing is a basic language that everyone is expected to learn. Drinking at company gatherings is common, and it is definitely not just having a few drinks. Private gatherings among colleagues are even worse: they go all out to invite women and get them drunk. Calling it a den of debauchery would not be an exaggeration.

The supervisors have poor character and scheme against one another. They often secretly sabotage subordinates and deliberately make hurtful jokes at others’ expense. As a result, the company employees’ self-esteem becomes lower and lower. Some become timid and afraid of trouble, trying to make themselves as inconspicuous as possible. Others try to compete with one another over trivial matters unrelated to work, attempting to find the last glimmer of hope in this degrading office environment and make themselves look glamorous. (The women deliberately dress provocatively, while the men compete over things like who can cook better.)

After staying there for a long time, it is difficult not to change as a person. Your values become extremely distorted... It is heartbreaking...
