Pros

The company has been established for over 20 years, and salaries are paid on time.

Comfortable work environment.

They may be willing to hire people without experience.

There are plenty of convenient places to eat nearby.

Cons

The boss's wife is very busy. She may answer questions casually or give polite, perfunctory responses, but she will get angry if what she says is not done properly.

She does not take responsibility for her own mistakes or unclear communication.

She often assigns work at the last minute. Unless she is currently serving a customer, she basically does not care what you are doing.

The store's situation is unclear. Unless you are really short of money or experience, do not come here for an administrative position.

In particular, social media and graphic design staff are treated as general affairs staff. The job description posted on the job bank reflects less than one-tenth of the actual duties.

The interview is also vague and unclear, using “the same as other companies” to gloss over details. The approximate bonus figures mentioned are also greatly inflated.

As soon as you start, you will be left on your own with no one looking after you, yet you will be expected to take responsibility for everything, including reminding other people.

Other colleagues will not provide any support. Instead, they will dump work on you, and you will not be allowed to refuse.

If you take too many days off, they may also make improper deductions from your pay. You have to keep pressing them to get the money back.

Cons

During the interview, the owner’s wife said that she would teach me how to retouch people’s photos during the handover. However, on the first day of the handover, I found out that the owner’s wife had made that decision on her own. The previous graphic designer said she wouldn’t teach me, so she told the owner’s wife that the position might not be a good fit and asked them to find someone who already knew how to do it. The owner’s wife then said that there was no work progress during the probationary period, so she didn’t have to pay me. Only after I told her that this violated the Labor Standards Act and that I would report it did she pay me. Does an employee’s time not count as time? I spent half a day there on the handover and couldn’t get paid? What kind of mindset is that…

I really urge anyone considering going for an interview to think twice.
