I went through two rounds of interviews. During the phone call, they mentioned that the salary could be set at my expected NT$50,000, but when they made the offer, they only offered NT$45,000. None of the benefits were clearly stated. They said the salary would be adjusted based on ability after the probationary period. When I asked them to write it down clearly, they said they no longer needed me.
They also wanted me to make time on holidays or weekday evenings to go to the company for a handover while I was transitioning from my previous company, because the original engineer was leaving.
Remember, this company’s offer will be written unclearly. If they make too many demands, just decline it.
The manager kept saying that one must have an RD spirit. They said overtime pay would be provided for overtime, but the manager also said that if an RD needs to work overtime, it reflects insufficient ability. I suspect the chances of actually receiving overtime pay are slim.
