Read the community guidelinesThe workplace is located at Exit M8 of Taipei Main Station, with plenty of convenient drink and restaurant options nearby.
On the first day of work, I was informed that the salary would be paid in two installments, and that even the base salary would not meet the minimum wage, with another NT$2,000 deducted for perfect attendance. Setting aside the fact that the salary is split into two payments, the key issue is that the salary is not paid on time. Basically, each month you can only receive the first installment; the second installment is not paid until the following month. They delay it as much as they can. When asked why, the company always replies that accounting cannot calculate it in time, that it is only delayed by a few days, and that they will not fail to pay it. As employees, contacting accounting is extremely difficult—more difficult than even running into the boss. Later, I learned that the salary-delay problem had existed for a long time, and the company had no intention of improving it, resulting in a very high employee turnover rate.
No advantages
1. If you are unable to immediately request leave from the company due to a sudden illness, it is recorded as an absence without leave.
Because once it exceeds three days, they directly use a Labor Standards Act clause to dismiss employees who have already worked themselves to the bone for you and strived for several years to achieve good performance.
2. They even immediately deleted my leave-system permissions so I could not make up the annual leave or request leave, and they would not provide an involuntary separation. During off-hours and holidays, I still had to respond to messages on the official LINE account; if I did not respond, I was threatened with not being given performance credit.
3. The performance distribution there is extremely unfair. Only those who act cute and flatter the supervisors get rewarded; technical skills are not important there.
4. When customers file complaints, the supervisors just dump them on the beauticians to handle.
5. The internal conflict and bullying among employees are terrifying.
6. When customers want to make appointments, they schedule them regardless of whether the time conflicts with your appointments with other customers.
7. You have to call customers every day to make appointments. If you do not reach the target number of appointments, you are charged 100 for each appointment you fall short.
8. People without a Level C beautician certificate or a related degree can also apply and get hired. They love blank slates.
