Read the community guidelines1. A company that uses the reputation of the top local-drama actor boss to promote its recruitment
2. The positions require a high level of professional skills, and one job posting can expose you to many different skills
3. The company's office environment is nice
The interview was extremely insincere.
1. I applied for the position of Social Media Advertising Specialist, and received an interview invitation on the same day I submitted my résumé.
However, Ms. R was supposed to conduct the interview, but Mr. R showed up instead, saying that the other person had been in a car accident (what a coincidence).
2. Being stood up was bad enough, but they said a second interview might need to be arranged. Then, there was absolutely no contact for a week (during that time, neither the contact through 104 nor calls to the company reached anyone at their desk).
104 was very conscientious and asked about the current status, saying that because the interviewer was unavailable, they could help arrange and promptly notify me about whether I needed to prepare for a second interview.
However, I never received any conclusion.
3. A week later, over the weekend—today—I called again to ask about it.
I then received a response through 104, essentially saying that because my time was valuable, the second interview had been canceled.
Hello? Wasn't the original interviewer unavailable, and wasn't there supposed to be a second interview? They were unwilling even to make a phone call or return mine, and simply used the company's official explanation to say that I was not suitable.
When I called to ask, Ms. R finally responded: “The company has its own procedures, so since you are asking about the timing, it may not be suitable for the company to accommodate your schedule.”
Who exactly is accommodating whose schedule? Am I not even allowed to ask?
I said I could accommodate any schedule; I was simply asking roughly when a decision could be made and what the current progress was. (They said they were unsure.) Since the interviewer did not show up last time, everyone could have coordinated.
If I really was not suitable, they should not have made excuses like this.
But she said that was simply how it was. Then she said they no longer needed my time, followed by a “thank you”?
This is the first time I have seen a company whose interviewer stood someone up, with such an outrageous attitude. They said there would be a second interview and that there was progress, yet they could supposedly be so busy that they had no time to respond—and when the applicant asked, they just said I was unsuitable. Absolutely ridiculous.
The company is large and the environment is clean.
The workload is heavy, and there are also significant internal changes. Many people resign or are dismissed. If you want to be a typical office worker, don't come work at Hancheng.
The interview seems to focus on personal rapport rather than experience.
The office is very new, and most of the people you see are young.
I’ve heard that many people list the salary as negotiable on 104 when applying, but the actual offer is under NT$40,000. Choose carefully.
The boss is a celebrity
The claim made by the dismissed employee in the widely reported 2021 news that employees at the company cannot apply for overtime pay is not unfounded~~ Whenever I mentioned applying for overtime, my supervisor would give me a soft refusal, saying, "You should arrange your time and plan properly on weekdays so that you can complete your work on schedule~" But the whole point is that after planning it myself and determining that I couldn't finish on schedule, I then applied for overtime~~ During the interview, they also never clearly said that the company does not allow employees to apply for overtime pay, so I felt like I had been tricked into joining~, and the company also does not automatically refund former employees for excess deductions of the employee-paid portions of labor and health insurance premiums. A considerable amount of the employee-paid labor and health insurance premiums was taken away~~
