1. The hourly wage is very generous. If there is a meeting or training, we are not required to attend after work. Meetings are scheduled before closing instead (customers arriving for the evening shift that day are no longer accepted around 7:00). If you come in to attend a meeting on your day off, you will also be paid.

2. You can take time off whenever you have something to do, whether it is a weekday or weekend.

3. For employee meals, you cook as much as you want to eat, including as much meat as you want (more expensive cuts of meat are usually not available unless there are extra portions from meals, which can then be cooked and eaten).

4. Regardless of what it is, anything brought back from customers is always thrown away (uncooked meat, vegetables, seafood, and so on are all discarded as food waste. Even unused wet wipes are opened and used to wipe the table, then thrown away before the table is wiped again with a cloth and alcohol).

5. Drinks at the restaurant are free, except alcoholic beverages.

6. If you come in to provide support on your day off, you receive overtime pay.

7. Bonuses are available from time to time (provided that performance targets are met).

Overall, this barbecue restaurant is one of the companies I have encountered that treats its employees very well and provides benefits from time to time. As a part-time evening-shift employee, I work from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and get up to 12 days off. My salary plus bonuses can exceed 15,000. You tell me—doesn’t that sound good?

The restaurant is disinfected every week, but there are still a lot of cockroaches. Maybe that is because the floor where I work is entirely occupied by food businesses!
