Read the community guidelinesNone—welcome to this crappy job.
You need to know this first:
Anytime Fitness's operating model is like that of a typical convenience store: it primarily expands its number of locations through franchising. In Taiwan alone, the franchise owners differ across the north, central, and south regions, and some franchisees even lease out their franchise rights after obtaining them. However, the management system is not standardized, so conditions may vary from one location to another.
Job responsibilities:
It's sales—and extremely demanding sales at that, both mentally and physically. Simply put, even in the current environment, this job resembles a terrible job by about 87 points out of 100—lots of work and little pay.
- Honest description of the job:
★ This position has a complete promotion path!! Good performance may lead to promotion to gym manager ★
-The so-called promotion path means going from sales to store manager. You are responsible for everything; if something goes wrong, it's on you, even if it is a mess left behind by management or previous employees. You also have to be on call 24 hours a day—even if your supervisor calls in the middle of the night, you have to answer.
● Nine days off per month; employees whose birthday falls in the current month get one additional birthday day off
● Working hours are scheduled in shifts: 11:00–20:00 / 13:00–22:00
-If you can meet your targets, then yes, that's true—but the prerequisite is that you actually meet them... If you don't, your leave will be revoked, and there is no overtime pay.
-Even if you're off, you still have to come in when the company has something going on, without pay—for example, attending a series of classes where supervisors talk about their glory days (don't doubt it; this is actually part of the course content).
Compensation:
-NT$23,000 plus bonuses; if you meet the performance targets, the base salary rises to a maximum of NT$25,000. The bonuses are often visible but rarely attainable.
Work location:
-You may be transferred to another location if other branches are short-staffed.
Summary:
-If you come here, be mentally prepared to give up your dignity as a human being and become the white CEO's dog. On top of that, company policies change from day to day. You will always have endless administrative busywork to do, yet you still have to deliver your sales targets. In short, if you're looking for a job just to make a living, find something else. Or if you're the type of person capable of being a star salesperson? You should still find another job. This company isn't worth staying at.
