The interview process was pleasant.

At the very beginning of the interview, they said they didn't want to make promises on my résumé, because it would be awkward if I were hired and then couldn't do the job. They emphasized how much they valued credibility. At the end of the interview, they themselves promised to respond within three days, but when I emailed them a week later, they didn't reply. I can accept not being selected or being ghosted; if that's how it was going to be, they shouldn't have made promises in the first place—it was completely hypocritical, haha. Before the interview, they responded normally to emails, but after I asked whether there was any news, they stopped replying?

- I received an interview invitation by email from HR, and I replied to the email (which included the hiring manager and HR) to confirm that I would attend the interview. However, on the day of the interview, the manager was very late. During the interview, I learned that the manager had not noticed the email they received and did not remember that an interview had been scheduled.

- The manager was very late on the day of the interview—approximately 40 minutes or more. When I arrived, the receptionist apologized and said that the manager would be at the company soon. I accepted that the manager had arrived late to work (some companies do have flexible working hours, although the manager should have been punctual on the day of an interview; I decided to be patient) and continued waiting. After waiting 15 minutes, I initially thought that I would wait another 15 minutes, then leave and suggest conducting the interview by video instead, or say that I no longer wanted to interview. However, five minutes later (20 minutes after I arrived), the receptionist came over again and said that the manager would arrive soon. I thought, “Okay, then I’ll wait.” I ended up waiting 40 minutes or more (I remember it was more than 40 minutes) before finally seeing the manager arrive very late on a scooter.

- It had not yet been decided whether this position would report to the interviewing manager or the general manager. There was only one interview round. It felt as though the job requirements and internal administrative processes were still very disorganized. Although this might not affect the work itself, combined with the critical issue that it had not yet been decided whom the position would report to, I recommend not taking the job.

The office looks nice. The salary is acceptable. There is a two-month year-end bonus, paid separately at mid-year and year-end.

The employment contract is rushed through for signing upon joining. Normally, it should be issued in two copies, but almost no employees receive one.

Salary slips are not issued proactively. Employees have to request them each time, and they are provided one at a time.

Management is conservative and prefers to work from templates. Although the company calls itself a startup, there is no atmosphere of open discussion, and individual ways of working are not respected.
