The supervisor who conducted the interview was actually a nice person, but the company itself was truly unbelievable.
On my first day, I was about 10 minutes late because it was raining. However, the supervisor was also more than 40 minutes late, so I stood outside the store for 30 minutes.
On the first day, this company requires new employees to submit some documents. Since I had only recently left my previous job, I had not yet received proof of withdrawal from labor insurance. I also had not obtained a police clearance certificate because the application takes time. And because I had not had much time, I had not opened a bank account yet either. The HR representative at this company therefore felt that I did not “value” their company, and called to “question” me about whether I really had no time to process the documents after leaving my previous job.
Anyway, the call was basically about how dissatisfied HR was, saying that being late and missing documents were their bottom line.
I could have left home earlier and perhaps arrived 10–20 minutes before work, but I do not regret it. If I had arrived early, wouldn’t that have meant standing outside for nearly an hour? Come on, I didn’t have a key.
As for the missing documents, even large companies are not this nitpicky... But I respect their way of doing things, I suppose... (With a big forest, you get all kinds of birds.)
I know being late was wrong, but it was also good to see what this company was really like through these incidents. I went home at noon that day.
It was truly absurd. After reading the comments from other users, I can’t say I’m surprised.
The old version is away for a few days each week.
You can use your phone at work—of course, secretly.
The old version has extremely low EQ and probably has bipolar disorder.
When the old version isn't at the store, they will suspect what you're doing.
Basically a thug from southern Taiwan; they have absolutely no standards when they speak.
No annual leave, doesn't comply with the Labor Standards Act, and Saturdays require working every other week.
They can't retain sales staff; anyone who works there for a few months will definitely leave.
Administrative staff have to handle many tasks, including business development, marketing, store operations, administration, and buying lunch and dinner.
Anyway, it's terrible.
