One of them, whose Line name is Betty, kept calling to promote your services and then bombarded me with messages after getting me onto Line.

The messages came so frequently that it seemed like she was desperate for sales. If it weren’t for saving face, I really would have given her a piece of my mind!

I already told her that I would contact her when I had time, but even after that she kept pestering me about when I would be available!

Do other people not have lives to live!? Do other people not have families to spend time with!?

And how did you know that I had previously attended another cram school? Did you buy my information from someone else?

Doesn’t this violate the Personal Data Protection Act?

During the sales calls, she also kept saying how bad TutorABC was, exaggerating to the point of implying that TutorABC was about to go under.

I learned over the phone that the working hours were for the evening shift, so I politely declined the interview because the schedule was inconvenient.

The other party first tried to persuade me. After I declined again, they began making sarcastic remarks.

They said: “Then I think you’re more suited to becoming a civil servant. You’re not young anymore, so you should think carefully about your future. Where can you find a job nowadays that has regular nine-to-five hours and still pays well? If you want an easy job, you can also sell insurance or become a real estate agent.”

(This guy has probably never worked in insurance or real estate—he actually said those jobs are easy. I could only laugh it off.)

Throughout the entire process, they gave me the impression of being a very status-conscious person.
