Pros

1. There is no need to worry about pushing sales for low-priced products. 2. With few employees, dealing directly with the owner gives you relatively more freedom. 3. The work uniform is generally formal; there is no requirement to wear business attire. 4. The owner has principles and considerable knowledge of the eyeglasses and lenses industry. 5. You can do your own things during downtime instead of having to stand all day. 6. Basic cleaning requirements are not particularly strict. 7. The company maintains good relations and exchanges with nearby shops.

Cons

1. In addition to eight days off per month, the annual leave is designated for taking time off from the first to the fourth day of the Lunar New Year and cannot be used at other times; otherwise, your pay will be deducted. 2. Public holidays are not paid at double rates (New Year's Day, the 228 Peace Memorial Day long weekend, etc.). 3. Full-time employees work 11 hours a day. Pay consists of the minimum wage for the first eight hours plus three hours of overtime pay per day, totaling approximately NT$27,000 (excluding a NT$5,000 bonus). 4. Apart from salary, there are no year-end parties, year-end bonuses, spring banquets, or other benefits. 5. Work beyond regular hours is not counted as overtime and no overtime pay is provided.

Basically, with a monthly salary of just over NT$30,000, apart from labor and health insurance, there is no double pay on public holidays, no annual leave, no employee benefits, and long working hours. This is a workplace that offers nothing beyond basic pay, and is suitable for people seeking easy work, middle-aged unemployed people, and low-level optometrists.
