Pros

1. The company offers excellent salary and benefits (you can tell just by looking at the recruitment website)

2. There is absolutely no culture of working overtime, unless it is genuinely necessary for the work (definitely not like some companies where you have to work overtime to show the company/manager, or where you cannot leave before your manager does)

3. The chairman and general manager strive to achieve a balance between work and family life

4. The company has no hierarchical system and is not bureaucratic

5. Most managers take good care of their subordinates

6. Free lunch (something many companies cannot provide)

7. A culture that encourages learning

8. It is easy to take leave (especially compared with companies where getting leave approved can be difficult)

Cons

1. The company expects employees to keep learning continuously (but not everyone is comfortable with that)

2. People who like to complain about the company but refuse to leave can affect the morale of others

3. The company is divided into three areas, so there is inevitably some internal friction

Pros

Can't think of any.

Cons

This company's HR seems to have serious issues. They proactively invited me to an interview, but afterward there was never any follow-up about the schedule?

Also, this company's job posting on 104 seems to be open almost all the time. It feels like a permanently unfilled position, or perhaps they aren't actually hiring and the HR is just trying to meet performance targets.

If you receive an interview invitation from this company, think twice before going!!!

Pros

The salary is pretty good, at least slightly above the market rate.

The office is located in a high-end office building.

The lunch is also OK. All in all, the hardware and facilities are quite good.

Cons

1. The onboarding process is extremely inconvenient. You have to travel to the headquarters in Kaohsiung for a day of training, which is exhausting. Although travel expenses are reimbursed, it is really unnecessary. Since it is all video-based, why not watch the videos at your regular work location? The forms could also simply be submitted electronically.

2. There are a lot of unnecessary activities, such as book clubs. We are already busy enough, yet we still have to participate in book club discussions. These kinds of activities ultimately become mere formalities and waste time.

3. The infighting between departments within the company is frustrating.

The HR department scheduled the interview two weeks in advance. On the day of the interview, it rained heavily, and I made the arduous trip from Taipei to Taoyuan.

The interview was scheduled for 1:30 p.m. I arrived at around 1:20 and first filled out the personnel information form. About five minutes later, the interviewing manager came in and said that they had only found out that morning that there was a meeting at 1:30. After saying only a few words, they said they would discuss with the other managers whether I was suitable and then invite me back for a second interview. How can you determine whether someone is suitable based on a conversation lasting less than five minutes? If they knew that morning about the meeting, why couldn't they make a phone call to reschedule with the interviewee? Would anyone want to interview with a company that doesn't know how to respect other people's time in the future?

The round-trip transportation took about three hours, but the conversation and filling out the forms took less than fifteen minutes in total.

Is wasting other people's time really that amusing?
