The female supervisor is from mainland China and speaks very rudely. From joining the company to resigning, I was there for only nine days. When I told my supervisor that I wanted to resign, she said I had to wait until a new person arrived and I had handed over my work before I could leave. Because of family circumstances, I couldn't wait, but she refused to listen. After work, I still told her that day would be my last working day, but she read the message without replying. Later, when I asked about my salary, she kept going around in circles, saying things like my resignation had not been approved by her and that I acted as if I was the one in charge of the company... When I told her I was resigning, I said that finding someone to take over my work was her responsibility. I had created a folder containing the work lists and materials from the days I had worked, but she said I had left without handing over my work to my colleagues. I submitted my resignation that morning. She came in after 2 p.m. and said all sorts of things to me, simply refusing to let me resign, while also having no intention of finding anyone to take over my work. Then she left again. Who was I supposed to hand my work over to? In any case, you really should not work for this company. That female supervisor has serious problems, and the employee turnover within the company is also extremely high. Overtime is mandatory every day, and the salary discussed during the interview did not match the salary after I actually started working. They directly reduced it by NT$2,000, making it even lower than what a fresh graduate earns. I was completely exploited by this company. If you don't believe me, you can try working there yourself!

The system is a complete mess

Exploit employees’ wages

Make you do an excessive amount of work without caring whether it falls within your capabilities or responsibilities—if you can do it, you have to do it. A raise? Dream on.

A bunch of rules only start being enforced after you begin working

Treat employees like pets; there are lots of bizarre behaviors

Watch employees on surveillance cameras while they work, and if you’re not doing anything, they’ll find time to come over and hassle you

If you love the company, you have to work overtime; if you don’t, get ready to be picked on

In short, it’s terrifying—an absolute black hole

If you don’t believe it, go work there

It feels like the company is looking for talent by taking a “scattershot” approach.

The interviewer was unclear about the content of my résumé. After glancing at it, she directly told me that my previous work was different from what they were recruiting for. I had previously worked in social media marketing and e-commerce, so I agreed to the interview only after confirming that the job description on 104 matched. After I explained my previous work experience, the interviewer then said it was relevant. This gave me the impression that the interviewer had only learned about the candidate’s background before the interview, did not ask questions or try to understand it at the time, and directly rejected me—only to have me prove her wrong afterward ^_^. The job responsibilities for the position the company was recruiting for were very unclear, and the company’s future direction was also described vaguely.

Moreover, there was a major discrepancy between the job description posted by the company on 104 and what was actually discussed during the interview. It was barely related to e-commerce at all. Overall, the nature of the work was more sales-oriented, yet they advertised a position as an e-commerce social media specialist. I don’t know whether they understand what this position involves or whether this is a case of misrepresenting the role.

Also, because this is a small company, there would be a lot of miscellaneous tasks unrelated to the position. I asked the interviewer whether the workload for these miscellaneous tasks was greater than that of the original responsibilities, but her answer was unclear. Personally, I suspect there is a very high chance the role is essentially general labor. For everyone’s reference.

Pros

The company looks quite good from the outside, and while waiting, the staff seemed to get along quite harmoniously.

Cons

There was no meeting room available for the interview, so I had to find an empty seat in an office myself. Even though the interview time had been arranged in advance, the manager had not set aside any time at all, so I had to wait indefinitely. After finally waiting until a female manager was available, she spoke for less than two minutes, then kept doing her own work and left me sitting there. Later, after saying just a few more words, she said I had to wait for another manager. They showed absolutely no respect for the interviewee.

Pros

Position interviewed for: Business Assistant

The manager is a woman who speaks directly and does not beat around the bush.

They first have us fill out personnel information, then proceed with the interview.

Salary varies depending on the position. There is a year-end bonus, bonuses for the three major holidays (paid directly in cash), an attendance bonus, and overtime pay calculated in accordance with the Labor Standards Act. The benefits are considered good.

There is no need to be nervous during the interview; just be yourself.

Cons

The company looks pretty good, but there are not many parking spaces nearby.
