Pros

The company at the interview location in Xinzhuang is a warehouse office; the other location is in Shulin and is purely a warehouse. (There’s an adorable cream-colored dachshund in the office ❤)

The interview supervisor said that everything at the company follows the Labor Standards Act, with a clock-in/clock-out system; there is no overtime; there is a probationary period, during which the salary is N-3K, after which it will be adjusted back; it is unclear whether there are any other benefits.

Cons

Throughout the entire interview process (excluding the computer test), the interviewer only looked directly at me for a few minutes in total. The rest of the time, they kept staring at their laptop, which felt rather disrespectful. Before the computer test, I brought up the salary issue once, but was brushed off and told to take the computer test. They also hadn’t explained beforehand whether there would be a computer test, but I let that go. After the test, we went back to talking, and when I asked about the salary and working hours, I was harshly talked down to. Although the tone didn’t sound particularly different, I still felt disrespected.

First, regarding the salary: The listing on 104 says NT$28K–33K. Taking into consideration the salaries at companies I had previously worked for, I asked for 3XK, so the probationary salary would be 2XK. However, they then added something along the lines of, “This position isn’t worth that salary,” which left me completely baffled??? When the interview supervisor described the job duties, I already understood that they expected employees to memorize at least 15 images within 30–35 minutes (the images are part of a series, but the number isn’t fixed). Personally, I think memorizing that many images quickly is mentally exhausting—but what the hell, you’re telling me this position isn’t worth that kind of salary?

Next, regarding working hours: Although the listing on 104 says 9:00–18:00, every company’s working-hours system is a little different, so I still asked. I was then scolded and told that I had not seriously read the company’s website and related information, or words to that effect. At that point, I was baffled again???

First of all, the website provided on 104 is the company’s sales website. Moreover, it’s true that I only browsed the website briefly, but I couldn’t find anything there—or on 104—that clearly stated whether working hours were recorded through a clock-in/clock-out system. How the hell was I supposed to know whether the working hours followed a clock-in/clock-out system or flexible hours?

Given all of the above—things that hit my fragile heart so hard that I had to pick up the pieces and glue them back together—I personally feel that the interview supervisor’s attitude was really not good toward me. At this point, the salary, lack of overtime, and compliance with the Labor Standards Act are the only things that appeal to me, but the interview supervisor’s choice of words deducted points and made it difficult for me to agree.

Pros

Quiet work environment

Graphic designers only need to do graphic design work

No need to upload products or handle customer service

Cons

The boss may ask whether graphic designers want to switch to payment by piece.

Please, please think it through carefully.

Because the prices stated in the contract

are even worse than the wages of part-time workers.

They say that the pay can be negotiated,

but currently no graphic designer has stayed for more than one year.

Pros

So quiet you can hear a pin drop on the floor; suitable for people who are sensitive to noise.

Cons

The boss only likes submissive employees. Don’t overestimate your own submissiveness—this place can reshape your worldview, so think twice before applying! The salary does not match what was advertised; they’re very good at painting an appealing picture~
