富埜實業有限公司
Pros

Position applied for: Designer Employment duration: More than 2 years

Salary: 25,000

(A subsidiary of the former Lihe Company)

1. The boss is relatively approachable.

2. Taking leave is fairly convenient.

3. The work is relatively free. If you are capable, the boss will not micromanage you—but you must manage yourself well.

4. You will gain comprehensive, all-around skills. (After two years, you are guaranteed to know how to create catalogs, design products, identify paper box dielines, create product dielines, handle heat-transfer printing, screen-printed decals, product information, exhibition design, 3D design, rough cost estimates, contact licensors, etc.)

4. You can learn the importance of repeatedly confirming details and the art of communication. (You will mostly have to contact factories yourself.)

#If you leave communication to others, you will suffer badly.

5. Designers receive compensatory leave for overtime; this is not a position under a fixed-responsibility system.

Cons

1. The boss is emotionally unstable and emotional, and may forget things they have said.

2. There is an enormous amount of work, and you are the only designer. You must contact factories, handle customer issues, handle product sampling, identify product paper box dielines, create catalogs, prepare proposals, and design products.

It is common to have to work on 5–6 or more product designs at the same time, submit them for approval, handle sampling, and also create catalogs.

3. Employee turnover is extremely high. If you manage to stay for two years, you will be the most senior employee.

4. Vendors are not very cooperative (unless you have the ability to keep them appeased).

5. Since this is essentially a small family business, there are no opportunities for promotion.

6. The salary is not high, and income is unstable. The company earns money through project-based work, so there may be delays in salary payments (I experienced this twice).

7. Because employee turnover is high, you have to repeatedly confirm everything, but problems will still occur (cooperation from factories and colleagues is poor).

8. The boss will haggle with you over small amounts of money. If they lose even a little money, they will become extremely angry.

9. When you resign, the boss is not very likely to let you leave on good terms.

They may demand compensation or something similar. Remember to consult a free labor attorney; do not foolishly accept it yourself.
