As bad as it could possibly be
They were late for the interview, didn’t know what position they were interviewing for, and didn’t know whether the person being interviewed was applying for a part-time or full-time role.
(I should have checked the reviews first...)
A company was looking for a digital marketing specialist, but they didn’t even have the login credentials for their own Facebook and Google accounts.
So my first task was helping them recover their account usernames and passwords =_=
During my first week, I ran three Facebook ads through the Business Manager platform.
Then this Ms. Zhang (presumably the boss) actually said, “You set up this platform yourself, so I don’t believe the data on it.”
All I can say is: I can set this up, so do I really have to stand here and argue with you about it???????
The main point is that she also gave me lots of “advice.”
Imagine someone who doesn’t even know their own account usernames and passwords constantly criticizing the work you’ve put your heart into.
At first, I treated it as customer service and even answered calls at 11 or 12 at night.
Then she could still say, “I feel like you’re not proactive enough.” (I was speechless.)
This is a story about someone assigning you tasks that aren’t part of your job first,
and then saying you’re not proactive enough.
Also, she clearly brought an employee along to understand what I was doing,
but kept telling him to “shut up” from beginning to end.
I was completely stunned.
For anyone who sees this: I strongly advise you not to go.
It could shorten your life.
Sharing some experience for those who are newer to the workforce
No need to go there just because she happens to want to stroll around Ximen
My interview from start to finish took less than 20 minutes
I was still packing up my things in front of her
when the lady boss asked a young middle-school girl,
“Okay, call the next person in! Who’s next?”
The utter lack of respect was unbelievable!!!

That Ms. Chang (the lady boss, I assume) scheduled an interview with me for Friday, August 3, at 2 p.m.
I arrived at 1:40, but there were only a few students and cats there.
Then a male salesperson came over and told me that Ms. Chang had suddenly gone out because something had come up.
So I waited until 2:10, when a girl who looked like she was in sixth grade or junior high came in and told me that Ms. Chang was parking over by Red House and would need some time to walk over.
She finally came in at nearly 2:30.
We sat down and started talking. Her first question was:
“What position are you applying for??”
I was dumbfounded = = I answered, “Graphic designer.”
“Are you applying for a full-time or part-time position??”
Everyone,
by this point, you can stop considering this company~
P.S. Throughout the entire interview, the room door was left open. The lady boss and I were sitting by the doorway, so all the students and interviewees outside could hear the conversation, and~
that junior-high-school girl was sitting beside us, listening to every single word~
I showed the lady boss the graphics and copy from the company social media pages I had previously worked on.
The first company had only 500 followers.
Each post received anywhere from 2 to 10 likes.
As soon as she saw the number of likes, she reacted strongly and kept going in circles:
“Wow, your posts barely got any likes!!! Look, this one only got 2. So the things you made...didn’t really have much of an effect, did they!!”
>But the original follower count was only 80 and there were no orders at all. It took months of my efforts (running giveaway campaigns and placing ads) to gradually grow it to 500 followers and start receiving orders.
I explained this to her carefully, and she replied,
“Oh...okay, I know that.” (with a dismissive, perfunctory attitude)
------
I showed her the social media page from the second company.
While I was still looking for a post that I had been responsible for,
she took my phone and immediately scrolled to the follower count at the top.
“Oh!!!!! This is really good—you have more than 10,000 followers.”
I replied directly:
“This company has 10,000 followers because it had been operating for a long time. There were already that many when I joined; the number didn’t shoot up because I started working there.”
She responded the same way:
“Oh...okay, I know that.”
(Only then, on the spot, did she say:) “Hey, can you make a small Valentine’s Day banner right now? I just want to see your style!”
After talking for about another 10 minutes:
“Hey, can you make a small Valentine’s Day banner right now? I just want to see your style!”
Everyone,
this isn’t because I lack the ability to make it.
It’s because I had something to take care of at home after 3 p.m.
You were nearly 30 minutes late for our scheduled 2 p.m. interview,
which was already extremely disrespectful.
What made me even angrier was being asked on the spot to make something.
I hadn’t prepared anything,
and the other party hadn’t clearly stated this in advance on 104.
The company is near Ximending, so at least I could go browse around after the interview ^^
The female boss (?) didn't even know what position I was interviewing for or what openings the company had!
She hadn't looked at the applicant's résumé at all, and the entire interview lasted less than 5 minutes—what a waste of the applicant's time!!!
