Basically, the travel industry operates under a responsibility-based system.
At this company, the responsibility-based system means working around the clock.
I thought it meant working overtime to finish the day's unfinished tasks, but at this company,
regardless of how many hours have passed after the end of the workday,
the boss or coworkers will still assign work.
The bonus system is unclear.
After deductions for labor and health insurance, the pay is not even the minimum wage. Senior employees are particularly good at bullying newcomers, treating new employees like personal assistants. They go lead tours themselves to earn tips, then dump the work they were responsible for onto newcomers. The tour's performance is credited to the senior employee, and rookies are not allowed to refuse. If they do not help, they will start receiving attacks through messages and verbally, blaming the newcomer for not knowing what should or should not be said, pulling rank based on seniority, and saying they do not know how to conduct themselves or do their work properly. They claim that all of this is an opportunity for the newcomer to learn. They also send newcomers to run all kinds of errands and handle miscellaneous tasks for their own cases, completely ignoring whether the newcomer is already rushing to finish a proposal. Afterwards, they tell others that the newcomer works too slowly and make various other complaints. Be careful when applying to this company.
