The organizational structure is flat.
You are not given sufficient authority, but when you try to report issues upward, you generally cannot get an answer most of the time, leaving the matter stuck with you. At the same time, you have to deal with repeated inquiries from vendors and other colleagues. This situation happens repeatedly.
(Some of the reasons may be that the sales team is unwilling to tell the customer certain things, or that the customer does not provide a clear response, which in turn affects Taiwan’s execution and prevents the work from continuing. They only give you an explanation that they themselves cannot use to convince anyone, and expect you to convince the vendor.)
For some positions, the sales responsibilities cover everything, but they have responsibility without authority; for other positions, the sales work is easy and carries no responsibility.
The boss is overseas and cannot see the actual situation in Taiwan. Senior employees frequently push work and shift responsibility onto others.
Finally, unless you specifically want to pursue a career in the trading industry, you basically will not learn much about engineering.
