This page collects workplace experiences, questions and discussions submitted by users. Dates shown are submission dates, not periods of employment. Individual reports do not describe the entire company.
Read the community guidelinesThe only good thing is that taking leave is easy.
1. The salary is the lowest in the industry.
2. They say you can flexibly choose to start work at 8 or 9, but in reality, there is no choice.
3. There is no clock-in system, making it difficult to report overtime, and supervisors often block overtime claims.
4. There are many cliques in the company. If you cannot get into the right circles, you end up doing all the dirty work.
5. Contractors have it better than regular employees: they spend every day at the office doing nothing but scrolling on their phones and waiting for the workday to end.
6. Every year, several Saturday seminars are held. I heard they count toward performance evaluations, but they just waste an entire day with boring courses.
7. Many people in the company have bad tempers and speak loudly; you have to gauge their mood before doing anything.
8. Some supervisors were promoted through connections, so they say one thing and do another and cannot serve as role models at all.
9. Whenever something happens, everyone spreads the news quickly. Everyone is part of the gossip network.
10. Sometimes when I return to the office, my desk is either covered with more trash or my things have been moved. I have no idea who touched them.
11. They try to bind you to the company for more than a year; otherwise, you have to pay a large sum. For example, if an employee cancels a company trip, the cancellation fee is split among employees who registered but have not yet completed one year.
12. There is supposed to be a salary adjustment after three months, but it does not happen unless you bring it up with your supervisor. Even after doing so, the salary I received the following month was still the pre-adjustment amount.
13. The division of responsibilities is unclear. New employees are given a pile of simple tasks that nobody wants to do, even though anyone with free time who passes by could handle them. Because of these tasks, I have to arrive at the office early and leave late.
14. I was assigned work that had to be completed back at the office, but sometimes other departments were in meetings, so I had to wait until their meetings ended before I knew what information to write. I often had to sit around waiting at the office while pretending to be busy, whereas everyone else returning to the office was chatting and having afternoon tea.
15. It is easy to be transferred. The company does not have enough staff but insists on expanding anyway, resulting in frequent internal transfers—from Tainan to Linkou to Taichung. Whenever there are many new employees, the company tries to transfer them away.
