Pros

Maybe occasional department perks?

Cons

By all means, do not join this company.

To start with, there is some inexplicable overtime.

When they ask you to go to a site, you have to leave early and don't get back to the company until very late.

There is no overtime pay either—just a NT$100 or NT$200 meal allowance for working through mealtimes.

It's completely not worth it.

Because the company is small, it has no systems in place whatsoever.

Whatever the boss says goes, and whatever the supervisor says goes too.

What you especially need to watch out for is

one female supervisor whose surname is Lin.

Putting her terrible personality aside,

her attitude toward subordinates is so bad it makes people think they're worthless.

I'll share a few things she has said to me:

“It's no wonder you don't have any sales, huh?”

She had seen on my résumé that I had worked in sales before.

During the interview, she was so pleasant and put on quite a performance.

It was only after I joined that she started attacking me.

If I had good sales performance, would I still come work here?

Her logic is absolutely terrible, isn't it?

“You're simply not suited to working. You aren't suited to working, you know that?”

I had just graduated from university, and I had openly said that I had no administrative experience whatsoever.

These things were clearly known from the start.

After I joined, she began criticizing everything I did,

and even said things like this that were meant to make someone feel deeply inferior. I really don't understand it.

“What exactly is the relationship between your parents?”

I asked my supervisor for leave, and she asked me why. I told her I was going to see my dad.

Then she started asking about my family situation. May I ask what business it is of hers?

“You only want to. That's all.”

I wanted to lose weight. She isn't exactly slim herself, yet she came over to ask me about it.

To be honest, I didn't really want to talk about it,

after all, it wasn't the first time she'd said a bunch of nasty things.

Then, after hearing what I said, she replied in a very contemptuous tone, “You only want to. That's all.”

May I ask what my losing weight has to do with you?

Do supervisors now need to concern themselves with things like this?

And start making personal attacks against other people too?

“That's disgusting.”

After asking me about my political stance, I answered honestly,

and she replied, “Ugh, that's so disgusting”????

So did you just ask because you enjoyed asking?

“You're done here today!”

Oh, she often uses this phrase to threaten people after they make a mistake.

She keeps this phrase on her lips, then acts nice to you afterward.

Is she schizophrenic or something?

There are some other nasty things she said that I won't mention,

because remembering them puts me in a bad mood,

so I deliberately made myself forget them afterward.

Ms. Lin changes her orders from one moment to the next.

Sometimes she can even lose her temper at others over her own mistakes.

No one in the company likes her.

The high turnover in this department is also because of her,

but she herself seems to have no self-awareness whatsoever.

As a supervisor, she lacks the ethics one should have.

It really makes people wonder whether she is actually qualified for the position.

After a subordinate makes a mistake, she goes to discuss it with her own friends.

Then she comes back acting as though she has all the answers, saying, “My friend said this and that.”

Hello? Her logic is terrible.

May I ask whether your friend works at our company?

Are you sure what they said wasn't based on the fact that you two are friends?

Isn't it ridiculous to come back and share the comforting things they said with your subordinates?

Oh, sorry—I forgot that you have no one to ask because you aren't well-liked at the company.

And then, after I had already said I was resigning,

she still came over to look at my résumé

and shared my résumé with my coworkers?

May I ask whether you find yourself disgusting?

There was no need to do something so nauseating, was there?

I deeply regret joining this company.

If you are going to join this company, it definitely should not be this department.

I deeply regret meeting this supervisor, Ms. Lin.

I sincerely hope I never have to see her again in this lifetime.

Because of her, I felt anxious every day.^^

I told her I was about to develop depression, so I was resigning.

She then went around telling other people about my situation,

as if she thought I was a “fragile strawberry” because of it.

I have 5–6 years of work experience.

It is not because I have poor stress tolerance,

but because this company—and you—are the problem, okay? :)

She only knows how to order people around.

She clearly went through the same things herself,

yet she still treats other people this way. I really don't understand it.

Once, she “argued” with a supervisor from another department.

That's right—an argument, not a discussion.

Her voice was really shrill and loud;

I almost thought my eardrums were going to burst.

This supervisor is the classic type who

doesn't solve problems—she solves the people who have problems.

And then the same problems keep recurring afterward.

Really great! :)

After leaving this company, you are nothing.
