The manager of the Equipment Development Department has an extremely poor management style, suppressing subordinates with emotions and authority over the long term, while lacking basic communication and respect. Their project-planning ability is inadequate, and their assessments of schedules and resources are clearly unrealistic, yet they frequently shift the consequences of decision-making errors and schedule pressure onto junior engineers.
Work instructions are inconsistent and frequently reversed at the last minute. They often demand that others accomplish things they themselves cannot do, issue unreasonable orders, and lack an understanding of the actual difficulty of engineering work.
