Pros

There is an elevator

Cons

At Wanhua Station, they directly sent me an email asking me to go for an interview (which felt a bit off), without contacting me through 104. They are an export trading company specializing in furniture hardware, with one office each in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and mainland China. Their partner manufacturers are also located in Taiwan and mainland China.

There is a test. The accountant is in their fifties and wants to find someone to take over his position. He does not want to hire someone who will keep leaving and hopes the person can stay here for a long time.

There is a test, but it only covers basic accounting. However, they did not ask me whether I had any questions. The salary is NT$38,000, and the owner’s wife did not say whether that was good or bad. I would have to use their computer to enter accounting entries to see whether I could type them quickly, but it would be easy to make mistakes. It felt about the same as what people described on 面試趣—just a very problematic place. They suddenly called and asked me to start work (at first they said they would notify me in a week), but then half an hour later they called and told me to start tomorrow 🙄. I had already said during the interview that I could only start at the end of September because I would be traveling abroad in between. They then told me, “Why don’t you come in tomorrow first and take personal leave afterward?” (Just how desperate are they for staff?) Later, I told them I would think it over and reply by email. As a result, the owner immediately called an hour later and told me not to drag it out and to decide quickly (it had not even been half a day). He said that I could not keep dragging things out like this and that this was unacceptable. Exactly what was unacceptable about it? 🙄🙄🙄🙄 After interviewing with so many companies, this was the first time I encountered one that demanded I decide quickly (and the key point is that they did not even say how much the salary was). It really left a bad impression.
