Pros

Just showing up and leaving on time. Nobody wants to do any extra work either—once the time is up, it’s best to get out of there as quickly as possible.

Cons

It’s a family business divided into factions. Family members get preferential treatment for everything. They can just take time off to go have fun without requesting leave or even telling their parents—just saying they’re going out for business (supposedly)!! Yet they nitpick over every penny with employees and deduct money for everything!!!!

Most importantly, when negotiating your salary during the interview, they play word games with you. For example, they might say the salary is 30,000 including labor and health insurance, which would mean deductions of roughly a certain amount. But when you receive your paycheck, you discover that even the 6% labor pension contribution is included and deducted from your salary as well!!! Absolutely outrageous!! When I asked accounting, they said, “That’s what was agreed upon during the interview.” Then they brought out the interview document, on which their supervisor had personally written and signed: “30,000 including the 6% labor pension contribution, labor insurance, and health insurance.” They showed it to me and said, “See? That’s what we agreed on back then!!!” I replied, “That can’t be right, can it? Isn’t the 6% labor pension contribution supposed to be paid by the employer?” Accounting replied: “Here, the 6% is deducted from everyone’s salary, whether they’re new or existing employees. That’s what the boss decided!!!” I was completely dumbfounded!!!!

Accounting said that during interviews, some people were told that 30,000 included labor and health insurance, while others were told that 30,000 did not include them. I admit that this part is true!! But nothing was said about the labor pension contribution!!!! How can they deduct the labor pension contribution from employees’ salaries? And what’s even more deceptive is that the base salary on the pay stub should be 30,000, but they had already deducted the labor pension contribution, leaving 28,700. (As an aside, they insure everyone at the lowest contribution bracket of 22,000, so 6% is 1,320. Failing to insure workers at the minimum salary bracket is also illegal.) As a result, the pay stub doesn’t show the 6% labor pension contribution that was deducted from you!!! So the agreed-upon monthly salary of 30,000 becomes 30,000 − 1,320 for the 6% labor pension contribution − 416 for labor insurance − 310 for health insurance = only 27,954!! That’s a huge difference!!!! Complaining about it doesn’t really accomplish anything—they aren’t even afraid of being reported.
