Hypocrisy
Weekends off
I asked whether there was annual leave. The interviewer kept repeating that all the employees were long-serving employees, so as long as you tell them in advance when you want to take leave, it would be fine and there would be no deduction from your pay. I asked again whether she meant there was no annual leave, but she gave me the same response: everyone there was a long-serving employee and no one asked about annual leave. She said that if I wanted to take annual leave in accordance with the Labor Standards Act, the company could allow it, but taking leave would simply result in a deduction from my pay. How can a company have two different systems? Later, when they notified me to start work, I again asked the long-serving employee who called me about the issue discussed during the interview. She contradicted herself, saying that they did not take any kind of leave and could not exchange it for money. It was therefore clear that there was no annual leave.
