Read the community guidelinesThe interview atmosphere was good, and the interviewer spoke courteously.
On the day of the interview, a senior executive told the applicant in person that they had been hired and asked them to promptly arrange their resignation procedures and confirm their start date. However, only after the applicant informed the company that they had completed the resignation procedures with their previous employer and confirmed their start date did the company say that the offer was being withdrawn because the former employee who had resigned had accepted a counteroffer to stay. The applicant was asked to apologize to their supervisor and retrieve their resignation form, while the company continued posting the same position on the job bank afterward. It showed a complete lack of integrity.
I had already told my supervisor that I was resigning and firmly refused to accept a counteroffer. To start at your company earlier, I went to great lengths to obtain the signature that my supervisor was extremely unhappy about giving me. Only then did you call to say that the offer was canceled. You even told me to sincerely apologize to my supervisor and withdraw my resignation, saying that you believed they would forgive me!! Your company has the nerve to say something so dismissive and absurd! Is it fun to leave people without jobs?
