You can get to know many colleagues—so, so many. Out with the old, in with the new.
I heard the CFO blocks a lot of people’s leave, even bereavement leave—truly wonderful. When you travel abroad, they investigate your personal circumstances: where you’re going, who you’re going with, and what your itinerary is. If you take two or three days of bereavement leave, they say you’re unproductive and that no one takes bereavement leave like that. After granting the leave, they call you into the office to lecture you: young people should treat hardship as nourishment; you’re here to learn, you know, so you need to demonstrate productivity.
The work environment is beautiful, after all, it’s a company that makes high-end hotel furniture.
The job I applied for was an administrative assistant at Yuqian Industrial Co., Ltd. (a traditional furniture manufacturing company), but when I went in to fill out the paperwork, the company’s registered name was Cosmeisha Beauty Co., Ltd. (I can’t remember the exact name). At the time, it made me feel disrespected. Later, HR told me that this was the chairwoman’s own startup (thought: What exactly is your HR department for...)
Then they kept making grand promises about how much I could learn at the company, saying that taking a loss now would be beneficial (I’m here to work and earn money, not to do unpaid work for you).
In short, if it’s a 24K position with an all-inclusive responsibility-based salary, you might as well forget it and go to sleep, lol.
