Pros

None

Cons

1. The scheduled end time is 5:40 p.m., but there has never been a day when I could leave on time. Even after finishing the work, I have to wait until at least 6:00 p.m. to leave; otherwise, my supervisor will question me.

2. We have to attend classes at noon and cannot take a break, although lunch boxes are provided.

3. During the interview, they said everything would comply with the Labor Standards Act, but after joining, anything that does not comply with the law is described as being under a responsibility-based work system.

4. I often need to take work home to continue working and reply to customer messages.

5. Some supervisors only make cold and discouraging remarks.

Pros

1. 14 months of salary at year-end

2. Travel allowance after completing three months (limited to groups of at least three colleagues traveling together)

3. Most colleagues are easy to get along with

Cons

1. Frequent overtime (3–5 times a week). There is an overtime system for applying for overtime pay, but employees are “not allowed” to apply.

2. The company is located in Taipei City, but the facilities are old and the space is very cramped.

3. Frequently, “on-the-job training” is required during lunch, forcing employees to sacrifice their break time (employees are not allowed to make up the time in the afternoon and must return directly to work).

4. If there is a large meeting, such as listening to the boss’s speech, employees must work overtime on their own time to make up for the hours lost.

5. The HR department is not very useful; it cannot resolve problems.
