1. No bonuses or benefits; the year-end bonus is so small that one trip to TGI Fridays uses it all up (do the math yourself). Not receiving a salary statement is a given, and it is unclear whether labor and health insurance contributions are being paid correctly.
2. The boss is unpredictable. Only what the boss says is right; whatever the boss tells you to do, whether there is enough time or whether it is right or wrong, you just do it.
3. You may be inexplicably discredited. It is not unusual for five people in one month to be unable to stay and resign on their own.
4. If you remind the boss about something and the boss forgets, it is your fault because you did not keep reminding them.
5. The boss may ask for things at any time; if you do not have them ready, you are considered incompetent.
6. Whenever something troublesome comes up at work, colleagues will find all kinds of ways to shirk responsibility—the sooner they pass it off, the better.
