Extremely uncomfortable!
Extremely!!! Extremely!!! Extremely!!! This company is incredibly disrespectful to job applicants and absolutely unbelievable.
Last Monday, I submitted my résumé to this company through a job bank. Then, on Friday morning, I received an interview invitation that had been sent after 1 a.m. Since I was interested in attending the interview, I replied that morning, but afterward I never received any notification from the company about the interview date or time.
After the two-day weekend break, I proactively called the company to ask about the situation and whether the position had already been filled. The woman who answered asked me to wait a moment, then told me to go to the company for an interview on Wednesday after 10:00 a.m.
So, after riding for half an hour in the hot weather to get there, I was just about to scan the real-name registration code—I had not even taken off my jacket or entered the building—when a woman came out and said, “Because of the current pandemic, we are not conducting interviews. We’re sorry. Another colleague didn’t know, so she sent you here.” I was completely stunned!!
I really want to ask the interview supervisor, HR, or the boss: What happened with the communication and coordination process? What happened to the people responsible for recruitment and relaying information, and to the main interviewer?
Later, I discovered that the company’s job listing on the job bank had stopped accepting applications the day before my scheduled interview. Wouldn’t that mean that, regardless of whether they had already found someone or there was some other special reason, the company had received clear internal instructions but failed to notify the interviewee in advance to cancel the interview or change the interview time?
I was treated like a monkey and made to make the trip for nothing. I felt extremely unhappy and uncomfortable, and my impression of the company was terrible!!
A company that shows so little respect for people—choose carefully!
