Pros

New office

Cons

After working for a day, I felt the job was not suitable and decided to leave. The department supervisor (I would rather not disclose the department) said that it would be difficult to find a job at the end of the year, and that there would be a trade war next year—did that sound like a threat? Their attitude suddenly became extremely poor. They also said the company’s resignation process takes six days, meaning I could only leave after six days, claiming that this was company policy. Has anyone ever heard of such an absurd situation, where you work for only one day but still have to wait six days before leaving? In the end, I had to bring up the Labor Standards Act before the supervisor said they would ask HR how long it would take for me to leave. They also told me to find the information security staff myself to delete my access rights, even though I had only been there for one day and did not know them at all. They even asked, “Does your family not have any debts? Your partner must be very good at making money, right?” The whole process was full of sarcastic remarks, and their tone was extremely rude!! I originally planned to come in on the second day just to complete the resignation procedures and leave, but the supervisor said I still had to turn on the computer and work. Since I had clocked in, they said the staffing agency would be charged by the company and would therefore pay me. However, because no one had taught me how to use the computer, I could only organize company data while also handling the resignation process. At noon, after everything was completed and I was ready to leave, they said they did not know whether I would be paid and would have to ask the staffing agency. Was this simply a way of messing with me? First, they tricked me into coming in to complete the resignation procedures. The point is that the resignation process is not just filling out one form—every department requires an application to delete access, and I had to fill out all the forms myself. Most importantly, the department supervisor’s tone was truly awful. Someone from the staffing company—the company whose name starts with the ㄐ sound—also asked, “Did you actually turn on the computer and work?” I replied, “No one taught me how to use the computer; I only organized data.” Did that mean I would not be paid? Everyone at this staffing company had a terrible attitude, especially the person whose surname starts with the ㄔㄤ sound, who was extremely disrespectful toward job seekers and acted arrogant and condescending. The supervisor at this quasi-government-affiliated company was particularly unacceptable.

Pros

Conducted remote interviews on weekends

Cons

Caijin Information Co., Ltd. requires a score of over 70 to be placed on the waitlist, but only the first-place candidate scored 88; no one else reached 70, so there wasn’t even a single waitlisted candidate. During the interview, they tested extremely obscure trivia—there’s no way even the successful candidate could have known it, unless the questions had been leaked beforehand. I completed the personality test right away, yet the interviewer still said I hadn’t done it! They were clearly just making things difficult. In the end, I looked at the list of successful candidates, and they were all ranked number one, which was blatantly....... No wonder the bank’s IT staff criticize them; everyone says the systems they build are terrible!
