1. So cocky. The employees are cocky, the foreign workers are cocky, and the supervisor doesn’t even seem to know what they’re doing. They took me to work in another area, shouted one instruction, and then left. I was just abandoned like that, without being told who I was supposed to report to. Fortunately, I have decent survival instincts. Who was supposed to show me what to do? What’s funny is that I was also treated like an idiot. What does it mean to expect someone to be highly proficient on their first day? The person training me was unwilling and didn’t explain things clearly, with an impatient look on their face—as if I owed them money.
2. Everyone says that if you don’t know something, you should ask questions. Here’s the amazing part: I asked the Taiwanese person training me a question, and they just kept staring at me…… Hello? Did you receive the signal? We just stared at each other for more than ten seconds. Truly “speechless.”
3. You have to buy equipment as soon as you join the company. The interviewer had a look that made it seem like they were after money. If it turns out not to be a good fit, you’re expected to treat the money as a charitable donation. You have to spend money before you’ve even earned any.
