Pros

1. The salary sounds quite generous, and they told me that labor and health insurance contributions would be deducted.

2. The location is convenient for transportation.

3. It feels like they have many brands and are relatively well established.

Cons

1. I had to wait quite a while for the interview. Although there was someone being interviewed before me, it took about 45 minutes from checking in, filling out the paperwork, to the actual interview.

2. The lady forgot to give me water.

Pros

Pros: I think this is one of the companies in southern Taiwan that is relatively willing to offer higher salaries, and you can learn quite a lot here.

The salary-increase aspect is also pretty good.

Cons

I think it’s more difficult to get close to the top management unless you start out in a managerial position.

Pros

I really can't think of anything... If I had to say something, it would be that they help employees order lunch, which is very convenient since you don't have to go downstairs to buy it yourself.

Cons

1. The job duties did not match the 104 listing

I was only informed on my first day that the job duties had changed. They were completely different from what I had interviewed for, and even the supervisor had been replaced. There was no advance notice or discussion with me at all—it was extremely disrespectful.

2. The salary was cut

The salary differed from what was listed on 104, which they did mention during the interview. However, I only found out on my first day that the stated salary actually included certain bonuses, and if you failed to meet the requirements, they would directly deduct that month's salary, lol.

3. The work environment was poor

A lot of people were crammed onto one floor, and everyone's workspace was small and cramped, making it easy to disturb one another. The office was filled with all kinds of noises and strange smells, and cockroaches would occasionally come running out... it was terrifying. Overall, the office environment was somewhat dirty and cluttered, with a lot of things piled up.

They said we couldn't reply to private messages, but the company didn't even provide employees with email accounts; everything was communicated through LINE. Every time I opened it to reply to a message, I worried that the colleague sitting next to me would report me, because we were really sitting incredibly close together. The overall work atmosphere was somewhat stifling, and there was also a bit of a cliquish feeling.

4. They don't know how to manage people

This was the first company I encountered that didn't introduce the office environment or the colleagues in my department. There were many people on the floor whose names and positions I almost completely didn't know. I only knew the supervisor and manager; nothing else was explained, so I had to ask around or observe what others called each person.

They didn't clearly explain the changed job duties. They would wait until you made a mistake and then correct you, make you do it over, or say, “Didn't you notice that yourself?” A lot of things were not explained clearly, and then they would criticize you for not being proactive or for being careless in your work...

5. No personal privacy

They checked our bags before leaving work every day!! They checked our bags before leaving work every day!!

Although we clocked in and out ourselves, because of the bag checks, the supervisor always knew what time you left. Almost the entire office worked overtime every day, so leaving on time was very stressful.

The above is simply a sharing of my experience after working there, as well as a relatively subjective personal review. If you'd still like to give it a try, you can experience it for yourself~

Pros

A model terrible job

Cons

On my first day, they said that the salary we had agreed on only applied when various bonuses were included. The base salary was actually much lower than the amount listed on the recruitment website—a huge difference. HR also claimed that this had already been explained over the phone, but when I asked whether the bonus would definitely amount to that much, HR said they would have to check, which showed that they had never asked about or mentioned it in the first place. It is extremely dishonest for such a long-established company to behave this way. I still joined to see what it was like because of the brand, but the office atmosphere was very tense, the desks were tiny, and it was the most cramped office I had ever worked in. I also constantly felt watched. Almost anything could result in someone reporting you, and even small group chats created simply to confirm work matters might not be allowed. Although the senior management are Christians, employees who do not have special connections still apparently need psychic abilities: this was the first company I had encountered that did not show new employees around or introduce them to the department, yet expected them to nod and greet certain supervisors when they saw them. I do not have psychic abilities, so I had to keep secretly glancing at these managers and executives to memorize their faces. They even inspected our bags when we left work, which violates personal-data protection laws. They said we could not reply to private messages during work hours, yet also required us to help promote posts during work hours. I really had no idea how to handle this, and was extremely afraid that using social media would result in someone reporting me, so I could only deal with it after work or during breaks. The supervisor was difficult to deal with. If I reminded the supervisor about something that had not yet been replied to or confirmed, they would become furious and berate me. They would even imagine things that subordinates had not done and scold them for those things, which was completely absurd. Everything had to be done immediately, but deadlines were rarely provided, so there was little time to work. They had no sense of priorities whatsoever, making it easy for some work not to meet the supervisor’s expected efficiency, after which they would criticize the subordinate’s work efficiency. Sometimes they would say something was urgent at first, only for it to turn out in the end that the process had not even reached that stage. It was utterly ridiculous. I have not encountered this myself yet, but they explicitly said that on-site market research would have to be done during our own off-hours. For a company of this size and with such a long history, that is truly laughable.

Pros

Speechless

Cons

The company’s organizational structure is chaotic, and the turnover rate is fairly high. Some stores form cliques and make sarcastic remarks, while the managers only pay lip service. If you’re looking for stability, think twice.

Pros

None

Cons

The pay does not comply with the Labor Standards Act. The hourly wage is approximately 120 per hour, perhaps even lower. Even when you try to ask for clarification, you cannot find anyone responsible; arbitrary deductions and payment amounts leave you at their mercy. There are no capable supervisors—they only talk and dump the work on full-time and part-time employees. Even the supervisors do not understand the products, and employees are not even given samples to try, yet they are still expected to understand the merchandise. All the high profits go toward advertising. The turnover rate is frighteningly high. Anyone looking for stability should think twice. There are too many cliques, and even labor and health insurance contributions are deducted improperly. It is a family-owned company. They livestream every day, and the hosts are all the owner’s relatives and friends. The product quality is also very poor. This is not a viable path to take.

Pros

Can't think of any.

Cons

The supervisor seems not to know how to do anything and lacks much culture. The office and warehouse are combined, and the exterior is just a metal-sheet building, which feels rather shabby. The atmosphere at work was also very depressing and strange, so I took off after just one day.

Pros

It should be considered one of the more willing employers in southern Taiwan to offer higher salaries.

Cons

Senior executives are inconsistent and dishonest in what they say. They don’t know how to provide guidance and only know how to insult employees.

It’s a family business, and talented employees can never rise through the ranks (unless you’re exceptionally good at flattering the bosses).

Employees are expected to work overtime every day, and those who don’t are still subjected to sarcastic remarks from their supervisors.

They bombard employees with Line messages on holidays; some employees are under so much pressure that they are on the verge of depression.

You could probably count on one hand the number of people in the entire company who have been there for more than a year.

Pros

1. Interviewed for a marketing planning position (work location: Taipei); the office is located right on a convenient main road.

2. The interviewer (probably the marketing manager, as they did not provide a business card) was very friendly and spoke candidly.

3. It is a branch of BG shop_以斯拉企業有限公司.

Cons

1. HR was very poor at scheduling interview times. When I arrived, one person was being interviewed inside, and another person was waiting outside. This may also have resulted in the interviewer not thoroughly reviewing my résumé beforehand.

2. The interviewer candidly said that because the headquarters is in Kaohsiung, many benefits would not comply with the Labor Standards Act.

3. They also cut the salary on the spot.
