The interview invitation was sent to the applicant outside working hours at night, with an immediate request to schedule the interview for the next day. I replied that I already had other plans the next day and stated that I could accommodate any time from Monday to Friday the following week. After letting the company choose a time, there was no further response. I assumed the company was unable to change the schedule, so I let it go and did not think much of it.

Unexpectedly, a week later I received the company’s reply: “Okay.” Yes, you read that correctly—it was just one word, very Hakka-style, concise and forceful (inner monologue: “Is this about a taro or sweet potato???”). Out of courtesy as a job seeker, I gave the company a few more days to choose. This time, the company replied on the same day with a date: a certain date. Yes, just the date—no time. So I asked again what time on that day would be convenient. By the next day, we finally had both the interview date and time arranged. To protect both parties’ interests, I asked the other party to confirm that everything was correct and then send a formal interview invitation (I made this request because I had previously experienced an HR representative sending an invitation for the wrong position. In the past, whether interviewing with a small or large company, HR representatives were always happy to do so and never objected.)

Unexpectedly, the other party immediately flew into a rage and snapped at me: “What else do you need to confirm? What is there to confirm? I don’t understand!” (I saw this through the notification on my phone app.) The other party seemed to realize that this statement put them in the wrong and immediately retracted the message. I did not have time to take a screenshot; all that remained was one sentence: “Reply after you have sorted out your attitude.”

I had originally checked the reviews on Tianyancha and knew that this company was not very friendly toward job seekers. I thought perhaps those incidents had happened several years ago and that things might have improved. I had planned to go, listen, and see for myself, but I was inexplicably insulted before even attending the interview. It made me wonder whether I had made some extremely impolite or unforgivable request. Fortunately, I did not even go to the interview. This company is absolutely terrible!

The female boss was extremely disrespectful. That day, she used the tone of a stereotypical exploitative boss, saying that employees should be able to do everything and that this was the attitude they should have toward work, and so on. Administrative, graphic design, and sales staff all have to deal with her. She can’t even afford to pay decent wages, yet she still dares to make demands of employees, acting all high and mighty and looking down on people. Absolutely disgusting.

I recommend simply not going to work for such a lousy boss. It’s a waste of time, and you’ll only be mistreated.

I waited nearly half an hour. When I went in for the interview, there was unexpectedly an outsider sitting beside them, and it seemed like I had interrupted a conversation. The interviewer kept a sour expression from beginning to end. After I had said fewer than five sentences, they said they would be in touch. Before I had even left, I saw the interviewer continue chatting with the other person.

They were completely disrespectful and wasted my time.

The boss looks down on people and speaks very harshly. They love talking about themselves and completely disrespect others!
