Read the community guidelinesIn April 2021, the office environment was nice, in a building near the Zhonghe Far Eastern Industrial Park.
I interviewed with this company in April this year. After the interview, they asked about my salary expectations, and the interviewer said she had to report them to the American boss. Unexpectedly, I received an offer call after a holiday, so I submitted my resignation to my current company. However, as the pandemic was about to break out at the time, I received a call from them at the end of May saying that the company had informed them it was going to cease operations. I was completely dumbfounded. In fact, I was too careless and should have asked them to send the offer in writing.
To be honest, the department stores, official website, and other platforms were all still operating, so this was a blatant lie. I confronted the interviewer, who came up with a bunch of nonsense, including something along the lines of “a crisis is an opportunity.” I was completely dumbfounded and really wanted to swear at her.
The company has now moved to Taoyuan. I wish them all the best! Basically, heaven never fulfills people's wishes! Ha.
The boss is not in Taiwan. As long as you curry favor with the old-timers, you can live very well.
In-house branded bags—the designer has absolutely no design ability and copies other brands entirely. Occasionally, there is a supposedly designed product, but it is probably only suitable for selling at Halloween (it is simply too ugly and cannot be sold).
Product design and development have no planning, selling points, or target audience defined—everything is based solely on personal preferences.
The company is entirely made up of the boss’s old acquaintances or former employees, and newcomers are completely ostracized.
The boss’s representative (a designer who cannot design) has no understanding of sales channels or the market and interferes in every detail, while newcomers bear the consequences.
All the old-timers will interfere in everything newcomers do.
There is absolutely no respect for professional expertise.
