Read the community guidelinesThis job involves the “transportation,” “installation, and dismantling” of artworks. Because it requires transporting artworks—including paintings and sculptures ranging from small to large—you need to be careful and have some physical strength. Every evening, the work assignments for the following day will be announced (you might have three consecutive days off, be sent on a three-day business trip to northern Taiwan, make a same-day round trip, and so on). If you need to take leave, you must confirm it with the boss one week in advance. It is also recommended that you send the boss a reminder message the day before your leave. As long as you are willing to learn, the senior employees and boss are very willing to teach you. The starting salary is fairly good, and if the work ends early, you can leave early. After joining the company, you will need to practice learning how to drive a manual-transmission light truck.
If there are any work-related oversights—such as failing to clean up garbage in the vehicle, being late, not completing work properly, or damaging an artwork—the boss will deduct from your pay based on the nature of the oversight (anywhere from NT$200 to NT$1,000 is possible). If you can accept a senior employee smoking in the truck (they smoke quite heavily) and the boss’s unpredictable temper, you could give it a try.
