The work environment is not very good. The holiday bonuses are discretionary, and there is no room to negotiate or adjust the salary. Usually, you only discover after being lured in that the salary is different from what was discussed initially. This is a family business, and almost the entire company is made up of relatives. They are also very good at painting an overly rosy picture, making you feel that the company is great, but in reality it is not as good as they claim. They phrase everything very persuasively, so you may take it at face value—do not believe them. There is also someone at the company who is mentally unstable and cannot tolerate any sounds she dislikes. She will stand beside you like a ghost and follow you wherever you go. The entire company has to accommodate her: there can be no mouse sounds, allergy-related sounds, or postnasal drip sounds. The accounting assistant looks harmless but is very scheming and may frame you for no reason. There is no refrigerator, and you have to take your trash home yourself. The boss’s wife is very loud. Anyone considering this job should think twice, because there is much more that has not been expressed.
