1. I applied for a graphic designer position, but there were a lot of phone calls, and I had to keep answering the phone to help provide quotes. So there was no way to make use of my expertise here, and it wasn’t valued either. When I first started, no one handed over any work to me. I guess they probably didn’t leave on good terms either—the turnover seems to be quite high.
2. At the end of last month, when I interviewed with the boss’s wife, we agreed on a salary of 24K, two days off per week, and for me to start in early June.
On June 21, the boss’s wife suddenly called me over, saying it was payday. That was when I found out that they calculate salaries differently: from the 21st of the current month to the 21st of the following month. So when I received my salary, I only got 10,000... She even took out a piece of recycled paper and wrote in pencil which days I worked and which days I had off. Since I hadn’t worked a full month, the calculation was 800 per day, and days off weren’t paid. Sigh, I can only blame myself for being too naïve and not asking more when I interviewed. I assumed that salaries were generally calculated from the beginning to the end of the month, so I didn’t think much of it. This was the first time I had encountered this kind of calculation. And if you don’t ask, they don’t tell you—but with such an unusual calculation method, shouldn’t they have explained it clearly during the interview in the first place?............
