The job posting was misleading: it said that applicants without experience were welcome, but in fact they only wanted people with experience.
When I initially went for the interview, the store manager had proactively called to invite me. The interviewing manager/supervisor was very long-winded, and the interview lasted an hour and a half. They asked many intrusive questions unrelated to the job and smoked in front of the applicant, forcing the applicant to inhale secondhand smoke. During the interview, they said that applicants without experience could learn on the job, but the very next day after the interview, they immediately sent a text message saying I was unsuitable. When I called to ask why, they said they were looking for someone with experience. The store manager seemed to have severe paranoid delusions and depression. The applicant simply felt that, since the interview supervisor had clearly expressed an intention on the day of the interview to have the applicant come work there, it was strange to receive a rejection notice. When I called to ask why I was deemed unsuitable, the store manager instead considered it harassment and repeatedly hung up. This is a very poor company, and the work environment is extremely dirty and disorderly. This company is best avoided.
