A certain female quality manager is very domineering; be mentally prepared when joining
The factory is fairly new, and neither the worksite nor the office is hot. Lunch is buffet-style. So far, I haven’t experienced any late salary payments. The computer systems aren’t outdated either; they are maintained and updated.
You definitely get gifts for the three major festivals. The company is very generous and gives a NT$1,000 gift voucher. You only get a lunchbox for overtime if you work a full three hours of overtime.
The lunch break is only 50 minutes, and the end of the workday is 5:10 p.m. Since joining, I have never received a pay raise. There are no annual raises or raises after the probationary period. Only exceptionally good individual performance (including willingness to work overtime) can lead to a promotion in rank (meaning that you only get a raise when your rank or position is upgraded). Taking one day of leave results in the loss of the perfect-attendance bonus (equivalent to two days’ wages). The company does not arrange regular annual health checkups for its workers.
When you are assigned as the person on duty, you are only allowed to take out the trash after work. Although you don’t have to work during the Christmas event in the afternoon, it runs past the end of the workday. On the day before the New Year holiday begins, you cannot go home after finishing the cleaning; you have to listen to a speech that goes directly beyond the end of the workday. After writing so much, what I want to express is that if you hope to leave work normally or on time, that is impossible here. Here, people only start packing up when the end-of-work bell rings; even if you spend a little time doing so before leaving, that is considered leaving work “too punctually.” This is a typical traditional manufacturing company: they would rather employees chat and scroll on their phones after work than see them leave on time.
Also, overtime pay is not calculated based on the full salary, which is a typical violation of the Labor Standards Act.
Two days off per week, overtime pay is provided, and lunch is free.
The pay is relatively low, and there are almost no openings for managerial positions.
It may be suitable for those looking to coast until retirement or who do not need the money, but those still looking to advance are advised to skip it.
Newly established by the company
The salary for sheet-metal design staff is only 27K. You might as well work as a cashier at PX Mart—the pay is higher than this job, and you don't even have to use your brain.
