I worked as a graphic designer. The boss frequently changed his orders and spoke very harshly. Once, he got into a heated argument with an employee in front of everyone, and that employee left. As a result, their work was assigned to me. After I had been doing it for a while, I asked whether the work could be handed over once a new employee joined. The boss said that I had to follow whatever assignments he made, and there was no indication that he intended to raise my salary, so I quickly left.
He often assigned tasks right before the end of the workday. Since we were all women, I once proactively helped a colleague move a canvas banner, which was very heavy. The boss then asked me, “Why did you help her? Did I ask you to help?”
He was a boss who lacked empathy. He also asked everyone to help buy lunch boxes, even when it was out of the way, forcing us to use more of our own lunch break.

A family-run company where everyone in the company is related. The boss considers the 6% labor pension contribution part of the salary, and the annual leave is also one day less than required by the Labor Standards Act. They hire employees because of government subsidies, require them to handle a wide range of tasks, and pay less than the general standard. Working hours are 9:00–18:00, but they often issue orders, process sales orders, and assign other miscellaneous tasks right before the end of the workday. The work atmosphere is dull and unpleasant.
Located in the Songjiang Nanjing MRT joint-development building, so transportation is very convenient.
They didn’t mention during the interview invitation that there would be a hands-on test. The salary is not high to begin with, and they even counted the employer’s 6% contribution as part of the salary.
Working hours are 9:00–18:00, but when I hurried to leave at 18:20 after the hands-on test, not a single person dared to leave work!
The office, which is basically a residence, is very small. With six workstations plus partitions, there is really not much space to move around, although the environment is quite new, clean, and bright.
