Cons

The fixed salary of 28k offered to an experienced engineer is ridiculously low—I’m speechless.

Does this company really want to hire people? It feels like HR has also started randomly inviting people to interviews…

Pros

1. It is a nursing home.

A. A cushy position for people with physical and mental disabilities

When you see the pair, they are either chatting and playing on their phones or catching up on sleep.

B. The so-called "cutie" tester

This person is always either picking dead skin off their hands, playing mobile games, catching up on sleep, or staring at the computer screen.

2. There is no perfect-attendance bonus, so it is very easy to take leave.

A. Just call to request leave and it is OK; LINE works too!!

3. Little money and little work, leaving you carefree (P.S.: This applies to a specific department.)

A. A bunch of idle people—once they finish their own work, nothing else concerns them.

Cons

1. The basic salary is only NT$20,750, with an hourly wage of less than NT$90; the first two hours of overtime pay less than NT$120 per hour.

2. The advance bonus is, to put it nicely, a three-holiday bonus. In reality, it is deducted from your position allowance over three months—a disguised tax-evasion scheme.

3. As soon as you get involved in a supervisor's work, you will have endless tasks. If something goes wrong, it is blamed on you, while the supervisor completely shirks responsibility and acts as if it has nothing to do with them.

4. When you join a certain department, you are left to fend for yourself. Tasks the supervisor cannot complete are handed to subordinates. When subordinates ask the supervisor how to handle them so they will not be rejected, the supervisor is clueless and still expects subordinates to figure it out on their own.

5. The department's top supervisor has a cushy position and can browse Shopee during working hours. If there is a problem, they blame subordinates for not doing their jobs properly. The supervisor barely manages anything, but when something goes wrong, they chew you out.

6. If rework is not part of that department's responsibilities, the unit refuses to deal with the issue it should handle. Requests for help are met with unreasonable demands, and in the end the matter is sent back to the original unit, whose people are the ones left to suffer.

7. Leave is approved without considering how heavy the workload is. Someone in the unit is casually allowed to take extended leave, forcing assistant engineers or engineers to cover their duties until they are completely overwhelmed.

8. Someone in the unit often makes mistakes, but nothing ever happens to them personally. If it is someone else, the unit supervisor rushes over to question them, while assistant engineers and engineers have endless review reports to write.

7. For the handover of work upon resignation, the unit supervisor does not even notify the people who are supposed to receive the handover; simply sending an email is considered sufficient. They never respect others. If someone speaks sternly to the supervisor about it, the supervisor obediently tacitly agrees that no handover of any work is needed. In the end, the ones worked to death are still the subordinates who obediently follow orders.

8. From the moment you join this unit, you are left to fend for yourself, learning how to run into walls and find a way to survive. They will not even give you a fishing rod and teach you how to fish. The supervisor assumes you know how to do everything. Then why did you say at the beginning that inexperienced applicants were welcome? When you ask questions, you get evasive answers, and your work is rejected repeatedly. If you are so capable, do it yourself—why do you have to mess with us like this!!!

9. I have never heard of someone being told that being highly professional is not acceptable, or that they should not do their work too well. If I stayed long enough, I think I would sink into mediocrity and become like an idiot. Luckily, I left.

Extremely bad. I joined at the end of last year as a dispatched worker to work as an operator. After working for a little over a month, I was suddenly and inexplicably dismissed on the grounds of poor efficiency. The key point is that I was not notified in advance at all—on the day I had just arrived at work, they immediately told me to pack up my things and leave. I wanted to know why it was so sudden and what the standards were, since they had never been explained beforehand. The supervisor told me to contact HR, but HR spoke to me harshly and then told me to contact the dispatching supervisor, saying, “Your employer is the staffing agency; this has nothing to do with us.” After several hours, their supervisor (deputy section chief) finally appeared together with the dispatching supervisor. The key point is that, once they showed up, they only said what was wrong with me and completely ignored the questions I raised: (1) Why could they make me leave as soon as I arrived at work that day without giving me any prior notice? It was completely disrespectful. (2) What were the standards? No one had ever explained them to me, yet they suddenly told me to leave, and when something went wrong, they pushed all the responsibility onto the staffing agency. We ended up parting on bad terms. However, I have already reported the situation to the general manager of Yancheng through the proper channel. I just don’t know whether the situation has improved now.
