The interview was very unprofessional and felt like they were simply trying to scare applicants away. They kept emphasizing that this job requires working quickly, unlike my previous work, where I could think through the design before making it. They said I needed to know how to do handwork and sewing, but later said it was only simple handwork. I asked whether the company provided materials for the handwork, and they said I would have to figure out how to find them myself. They said the Chang’an office had materials. Only after talking for a long time did I find out that “Chang’an” referred to Chang’an in mainland China. They said there was no fixed workflow and that it depended on how urgent each project was. If it was very urgent, there would not even be time to draw; I would have to make it directly by hand. They said the company’s products were very different from what I had worked on before. If they were so different, why invite me to interview? They did not understand what I had done before and did not listen carefully when I explained it, yet they criticized it as being very different. Did they actually have any intention of interviewing me? After expressing themselves this way, they still asked whether I had any questions, but I did not even know where to begin. They said each business trip would last three weeks to one month, and that there would be 3–4 trips by air per year.
