If you are job hunting before the Lunar New Year, you will have a “preliminary night” when a group leader comes to chat with you.
Formal interviews begin after the Lunar New Year. This is when the true face of school employees—especially employees of national schools—will emerge. They will even ask you what is special about you that would make them want to hire you.
Even after answering everything, they still may not hire you. It is quite possible that what they called a second interview was actually either a position that had already been filled internally or simply a sign that they looked down on you.
They say they are hiring urgently, but in reality that is not the case. They have two openings, both falsely advertised as recruiting from the Department of Computer Science. The job descriptions posted on the “Slave Bank” are even more deceptive: they say young people are welcome, but in reality they are absolutely not welcome. No wonder teacher-training institutions are no longer what they used to be (graduates do not necessarily have to become teachers), or that nearly everyone who becomes a teacher is a predatory teacher, because the teachers’ university itself looks down on people and breaks its promises.
