Read the community guidelinesThe accounting supervisor seems like a nice person.
You have to come in and work overtime for one or two days during consecutive holidays.
There aren't really any advantages.
Absolutely ridiculous—it's basically a scam. The job bank listing said 30,000–38,000, with overtime pay calculated separately, but it actually starts at only 25,000; after adding and subtracting overtime pay, it barely comes to a little over 30,000.
No pros.
Long working hours. The supervisor at the Kaohsiung branch may withhold overtime pay or tamper with your recorded overtime hours. Many people cannot tolerate this and resign, which is why they have been recruiting for a long time.
Overtime, and you can also cover shifts for your colleagues.
The pay is low, and when the company's revenue declines, it cuts the wages of entry-level employees. I do not recommend going to the Kaohsiung branch, where there is very serious workplace bullying. You may also have to compensate for shortages, and given the company culture in Kaohsiung, you could very likely end up paying so much that you lose your shirt.
Unlimited overtime and overtime pay—the company definitely gives you opportunities to earn money if you want to make money in a short period of time.
There are bonuses for the three major holidays and a year-end bonus, which is relatively generous compared with other companies in the same industry.
The Taipei branch provides free accommodation for employees from outside the area; you only need to cover part of the utility costs.
As long as you are away from the company, you must remain fully dressed in uniform at all times. Winter is tolerable, but in summer it can be unbearably hot.
The working hours are long, and the overtime pay is relatively low.
During the Lunar New Year, you can only take half the annual leave that ordinary employees receive. If you are scheduled to work on a typhoon day, you must report for duty; otherwise, you will be disciplined for being absent without leave.
You are not necessarily given time to eat during work; it depends on the workload that day.
There are relatively many smokers, and smoking indoors and inside vehicles is commonplace.
The company rules are extremely bizarre. It is easy to receive disciplinary demerits and fines, but rewards are extremely difficult to obtain.
Workplace bullying: the company may choose to turn a blind eye to senior employees bullying newcomers because it is afraid that those senior employees will leave.
