The supervisors in the nutrition department are unable to make decisions and have poor crisis-management skills. When something happens, they tell us to ask one person or another, or say, “I don’t know.” They are unable to take responsibility, but when colleagues handle matters on their own and the situation is resolved, they ask, “Why wasn’t I informed?”
Even people with poor work or professional abilities can pass their probation. Supervisors arrange for capable employees to do the work; as long as you know how to curry favor with the right people, you can easily collect a paycheck.
The team leader only wants to pass tasks off to others, saying every day that they are very busy, while frequently scrolling on their phone to organize group purchases.
As long as the supervisors don’t like you, they will do everything they can to find fault with you and deliberately make things difficult! One colleague simply kept their own water bottle on their own desk, but the director was still unhappy and said directly in the office, “Why is the water bottle there?”
To achieve a higher performance-review score by reducing enteral-feeding costs (which are included in the performance evaluation), the team leader and certain less capable colleagues provide inappropriate milk without considering the patients’ conditions. After being discovered, they then claim that it was what the doctor said.
