The interviewer did not introduce who they were and was evasive about salary and benefits and the vacation policy, refusing to give a direct answer. I thought it was the company’s cleaning lady who had come to interview me.

The interview process was extremely perfunctory. I had to fill out detailed personal information before the interview, yet they had not looked at it in advance and only rummaged through it on the spot. Such arrogance.

The HR representative in Taipei was very responsible. Besides having an in-depth conversation with the interviewee over the phone beforehand, they also briefed the hiring manager on the interviewee’s background. Among the companies I’ve interviewed with, this HR representative was one of the best.

The hiring manager also showed great respect for the interviewee and had reviewed their résumé beforehand, so they didn’t ask any really stupid questions. Overall, the interview atmosphere was quite good, leaving the interviewee with a very positive initial impression of the company.

I didn’t receive an offer, but it was an interview experience that left me with a very good impression.
